HIS STORY CAN CHANGE YOURS!
Have you ever felt like you are missing something in your life? Do you feel empty? Have you been looking for something to fill that void? What you've been looking for is Jesus Christ!
Jesus came to fill the empty space in the heart of every person. He did this by dying on the cross for our sins. In this he made a way for us to have a personal relationship with the Creator of the entire universe. He came for you! He came for everyone! No matter how significant or insignificant you think your life is, Jesus Christ came for you.
You can invite Him to fill the emptiness in your life by taking the most important step of your life.
- You must recognize that "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). The emptiness you feel comes from trying to meet the impossible standards of being "good enough." We can never be good enough becase we all sin. And when we fall short of that mark, we feel like something is missing.
- You must understand that "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). Sin separates us from God and that separation means that we are spiritually dead. That spiritual death is the empty feeling you've been struggling with. If you remain spiritually dead through sin without being reconciled to God, you're headed for hell--a place that is absent of all good.
- You must repent. "Repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out" (Acts 3:19). Repent simply means to change or turn around and walk in a different direction. That turning, changing or repentance is what you need to have the emptiness filled in your life. By turning from your sin, and turning to Jesus Christ, you can enter into a relationship with God that promises to restore your spiritual life to you.
- You must acknowledge that Jesus is the only way. "Nor is there salvation in any other, for this is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Salvation through faith in Jesus is the only way to be assured fo a relationship with God and a place in heaven when you die. Nothing else can guarantee you this--not going to church, being a good person, doing good things, or even giving money to help others.
- Accept Him! He promises to change your life and guarantee your eternity!
- Pray and mean this prayer. Saying this prayer is simply a way of declaring to God that you are relying on Jesus Christ as your Savior. There are no "magical" words that result in salvation. It is only faith in Jesus' death and resurrection that can save us. If you understand that you are a sinner and in need of salvation through Jesus Christ, here is a sample prayer you can pray to God:
"God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!" - Follow. If you prayed that prayer and meant it, God received you. You may or may not have an emotional experience, however, if you prayed the prayer in faith you are a new creation in Christ Jesus--you are now a follower of Christ. Follow Him by getting into a Bible teaching, faith based church and grow in the Word of God.
