Pioneer Clubs is an exciting program at Good Shepherd Community Church where kids from ages 3-14 come together every week to have fun, play games, engage in character-building activities, and learn about life in Jesus Christ. By offering a competely Bible-based and Christ-centered curriculum, we help children grow into healthy, well-rounded young adults. Curriculum and activities are designed to help children grow physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. In this safe and nurturing environment, we help children understand Christ's love and what it means to have a solid relationship with Him. Pioneer Clubs meet each Tuesday at 7 PM throughout the year from February through July and September through December. All teaching and activities in Pioneer Clubs are rooted in sound, biblical principles as well as an understanding that God’s Word has authority over all aspects of life. The Bible is the core of everything we do, and is the tool we use to introduce children to Jesus Christ. We want to help children use, understand, and apply the Bible in daily life Educationally Sound Pioneer Clubs’ teaching curriculum is age-appropriate and professionally designed to provide a hands-on, participative experience for active learners. Each club's teaching materials are geared toward that age group's developmental stages and learning differences. Lessons and activties promote critical thinking, stimulate participation in group discussions, and encourage personal Bible study time. Fun Activities In addition to teaching them important Bible truths, Pioneer Clubs involves kids in a wide array of different fun activities. Weekly meetings involve games and role-playing exercises, while other group events give children and families more opportunities to interact in a Christ-focused setting. Award Recognition The Pioneer Clubs award recognition system ensure that all club members gain skills and earn awards through regular participation. Club members work together to earn awards, and each child is encouraged to do his or her best. The emphasis of the award recognition system is on self-improvement, teamwork, and cooperation. Club members may display awards on vests, sashes, banners, or t-shirts. |
